Having never been a lawyer or even playing one on television may place me at a disadvantage. But, I do read the English language quite well. From everything I have seen in print, the American people have every right to take the entire United States Government into court.
In spite of all of Hollywood’s assurances, I’m losing faith in our ability to intercept a rampaging asteroid, millions of miles away in outer space, before it smashes into planet Earth. Even though Bruce Willis in Armageddon saved us with a minimal amount of discomfort, the problems we’ve experienced trying to plug an oil leak a mere 5,000 feet under the surface of the ocean have undermined my trust.
It was around 1400 B.C., when Moses led the Hebrew slaves out of Egypt into Palestine, the “promised land”. After the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D., the Jewish state came to an end and the Hebrew (Jewish) people were dispersed. In the 1890’s, Jews driven by Zionism to establish a modern Jewish nation-state and flocking back to their ancient biblical homeland in British controlled Palestine, eventually became embroiled in a modern day conflict between themselves and Palestinian Arabs.
People and wild species are at more risk in Africa than on any other continent. Huge numbers of people are trying to subsist on hunting scarce animals and unsustainable slash-and-burn farming. If this continues it will undoubtedly trigger a Dust Bowl like that of the American Midwest in the 1930s along with massive famine.

In a live video-link with our son’s home 300 miles away, two proud grandparents visited with the children who are to be the inheritors of our future. But when it’s one of their own – when circumstances require that a fellow liberal undergo a modicum of journalistic scrutiny – its simpatico most sublime. From the frills of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, liberal elites from around the world stand in defense of convicted sex offender Roman Polanski. Polanski was charged and convicted in the late 1970s of having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl and then fled the U.S. before his sentencing. Living as a fugitive from justice in the non-extraditing country of France, Polanski has continued with his filmmaking career until recently traveling to receive movie awards in Switzerland, where he was held on house arrest pending a potential transfer back to the U.S. for sentencing on his 1970s sex crime. As additional allegations of sexual misconduct are being leveled at the filmmaker, just what should be the emphasis of the Polanski story?
Even after it has passed I still get a lot of emails from readers dumbfounded readers who are in such disbelief that Congress was even trying to pass off on Americans even more socialized medicine than we already have. They are so shocked that not only had Congress rammed this abridgement of our liberties down our throats, and if you think that forcing Americans to either buy insurance to cover their health care or paying for others to do so is not an infringement of our liberties you haven’t thought too much, but absolutely astonished that the left would even have attempted such an act in the first place. Yeah, well, I have just two words for you; light bulbs.
